CANDLE CARE

Dear Candle Enthusiast,

Thank you for supporting our small business.   To ensure you get the most out of your candle experience, here are some simple tips to keep the flame burning bright:

First Burn: The optimal time to burn your coconut, beeswax blend candle is after at least 2 weeks of curing time.  If you can wait 2 months, your scent will be even stronger!  When lighting your candle for the first time, allow it to burn until the wax melts all the way to the edges of the container. This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn in the future.

Trim the Wick: Before each burn, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch to prevent excessive smoking and uneven burning. A trimmed wick also helps prolong the life of your candle.  You can cut the wick or simply break off the charred tip.

Mindful Burning: Always place your candle on a heat-resistant surface away from drafts, flammable objects, and out of reach of curious pets or little ones. Never leave a burning candle unattended!

Optimal Burning Time: For an ideal candle-burning session, allow your candle to burn for 2-4 hours at a time. This allows the scent to disperse evenly and prevents the wax from overheating.  Overheated wax burns faster and shortens your candle life.

Extinguish with Care: When it's time to bid adieu to your candle, extinguish the flame gently with a snuffer. Avoid blowing out the flame to minimize smoke and soot.

Reignite with Caution: Wait until the wax has solidified before relighting your candle. This prevents the wick from drifting and ensures a clean burn for next time.

Remember, each candle has its own personality, so feel free to experiment in burning different candle scents separately or together and enjoy the delightful ambiance they create.  Happy burning!

With fragrant regards,

Lakeside Farms Cicero
